Through this second chapter of their collaboration, PHILEO and SALOMON present a liberated vision of the city dweller, who, caught in a kind of schizophrenia, finds themselves torn between the need to assert themselves in the harshness of the city and their desire for nature, leaving behind the noise and stress to escape and find calm and serenity.
PHILEO revisits Salomon's ALPINWAY archetype through the concept of constructivism, offering an asymmetrical and streamlined version that expresses this duality between conquering the city and a spiritual journey toward nature.
From the Alps to Paris, Salomon's design evolves and acts as an immutable truth, telling the story of a journey—whether physical or spiritual—from nature to the city. It seeks to answer a question: 'How can we bring the softness and sincerity of nature into the hardness and violence of the city?'
