Cut the noise.
For the launch of its Spring/Summer 2025 collection, Y-3 celebrates its roots as the original Uniform of the Streets with a graphic driven selection of garments.
Having debuted during the label’s presentation as it made its triumphant return to the Paris Fashion Week stage earlier this year, Y-3 reclaims its iconic Uniform of the Streets graphic from Spring/Summer 2018 –this time painting over the additional elements with a brushstroke motif to simply leave one essential piece of the story, Y-3.
Self assured and always authentic, the graphic treatment serves as a statement of intent for the label moving forward.
Acknowledging Y-3’s legacy as the first partnership to blend sportswear and artisanal fashion, the Uniform of the Streets capsule draws on the expertise of both adidas and Yohji Yamamoto for its aesthetic language.
On one hand, the graphic treatment is deployed throughout with placements inspired by football jerseys. On the other, some garments feature loose threads, dangling unfinished in honor of Yohji Yamamoto’s craft-like approach to design.
Highlights include a coach jacket, cargo style pants, a blazer, and an elongated vest, all featuring the Uniform of the Streets graphic as woven labels with embroidery that are then stitched onto the garment.
Meanwhile, a knitted vest and knitted crewneck sweater deploy the graphic in a woven treatment.
